Tattoos are usually really personal and symbolic. Strangers on the internet are not going to know your parents well enough to suggest something that suits both them and you. That being said, there is a variety of options. From word’s to portraits to symbols that remind you of them. You know the part of them you want to honour with a tattoo best, so what makes you think of that when you think of them? Is it a quote? Is it a picture or animal or flower or other item? Is it a hand-written note
It can be tough. It took me about 2 yrs to figure out what I wanted as a memorial tattoo for my mom. I looked at and thought about several things before something just “clicked” with an “Ah-Ha!” type moment where I knew. She liked the Red Wyvern that is on the Welsh flag, because she was proud of and actually knew her Welsh predecessors, but for me that wasn’t quite right. She was found of Celtic knotwork designs, because of the way they traced back in her family history, but again, none seemed right to me. Then I saw a design for a flower she loved and “click” I knew what I’d get.Take your time, think about different things that remind you of them in good ways. Figure out what to you says “mom and dad” and go from there.
