I dont believe it’s the same strain as us, as coronavirus has been around in domestic animals for a long time, I think it’s just the first time it’s been found in a wild animal. Coronaviruses are common in cats, not Covid 19, but it isn’t a shocker that a tiger could catch it. Any virus can mutate, and considering this virus most likely came from an animal at a wet market, it isn’t hard to believe that we can in return infect an animal.
That’s why ferrets are the animal of choice for research of this natureIt started as an animal virus and jumped to us (apparently) why would folks think it couldn’t go back the other way. Dani Cat I think Paris means the tigers lions report is fake news. Keep up the good work Not fake news, and only one tiger was tested due to risks of anesthesia to collect samples.
