That being said, Snoopy (and everyone else) was drawn entirely in black and white until Schulz started drawing color comics in 1952. At that point, he was probably used to drawing Snoopy without extra colors and simply didn’t add any color to him. It’s also possible that Spike, Schulz’s dog was just black and white, also.
