She actually attempted to press “rape” charges on my brother when they were still married. All my brother tried to do was initiate intimacy with his wife… but instead of saying “no, I’m not in the mood”, she yelled “rape”. I have to mention, she also tried pressing the charges while he was in the middle of moving out…. WEEKS later, not at the time of the “incident”. So when the cops showed up while we were all helping move him out of the house, she explained to them that she wanted to press rape charges and explained the situation to them. I will never forget the looks on their faces when she finished her story. They politely sat her down and asked if he had forced himself on her, she replied no.
They asked when it had happened, and she explained how it was weeks prior. Then they had to, as politely as possible, explain to her that it is not considered rape when a husband tries to be intimate with his wife then stops when she doesn’t want to fool around. They also had to explain to her that IF it actually were rape, that she should have filed a report with them at the time of the incident, and not weeks later when he is moving out of the house. Well this obviously didn’t make her happy, so for the rest of the afternoon she and her parents would try to make it difficult for us getting his and the kids’ stuff out of the house. They would stand in the middle of the hallways and stairs so that we had to maneuver around them to get stuff out of the house.
