What I did have was symptoms. 6 months before my CABG, I started to sweat more doing little chores that were not an issue before. I just figure I was out of shape. Then I started to get heartburn during my walks. I had eaten in all events and figured it was indigestion. I started taking anti-acid and that worked. This went on for months. One day I started having a burning feeling in my chest feeling like heartburn but I had not eaten anything. My back muscle started hurting. I sat down and the problem went away. These were all signs that slowly showed I had an issue. Note that anti-acid pills do help with symptoms since they have the same ingredients like aspirin and we know aspirin in is an emergency to take if you are having a heart attack.
