I just don’t care about businesses who can’t be bothered to take care of what’s REALLY important: doing what’s actually right. You get to sit back on your salary and your benefits while much of the country gets paid when each job is done. I hire painters, plumbers, electricians, roofers, and so on to work on jobs that need to be done.
But the ham handed demand that we just send them back without thoughtful preparation is frightening to me as a parent, a nurse and someone with at risk relatives. Just because you refuse to take care of your employees, doesn’t mean IM irrational. It’s been that way for decades and our economies are reliant on that function of teachers.
You’re right, teachers aren’t babysitters by their job title, but the education system in the country involves kids going to school and parents working during the day while they are at school. Let alone 30 of them show some documentation on that because considering you have this far shown you don’t know facts, there’s no reason to even acknowledge what you say. There is a time exposure, closed room, children being caries and not having symptoms. Good luck finding someone who will want to deal with you knowing you don’t want to pay teachers. Your argument is invalid because you don’t seem to understand the ramifications of COVID spread. I have to be on site in construction, bringing materials, supervising, seeking out new clients.
