We store it in the back room of our basement and I wrap a shower curtain around it fastening it with clip clothes pins. I tried the suit bag and it doesn’t work. Since it is pliable the end up bunching together instead of staying flat and lined up.

The big bags to throw out real trees place over, tie on the bottom and if any ornaments should fall off it catches them. I used to keep 6 fully decorated trees in a storage room in my basement. Lights wear out from taking them on and off the tree. It’s better to leave them on if you can. Just sharing my tree experiences. I need to do a suit bag one. I buy up lots of wrapping paper right after Christmas and it is taking up the whole closet floor in the spare bedroom.
