I am a south Indian who lives in Michigan, USA. It’s 30 degrees outside it’s mother fuckin’ cold shirt I had never experienced temperatures below 12 degrees celsius before coming to the US. I once walked all the way from my house to the nearest grocery store which is around 1 mile away by foot during the polar vortex of 2014. On that day, the temperature was – 32 degrees celsius. I had worn both my fall jacket and my winter coat, two woolen hats, two layers of thick trousers, two layers of socks and thick snow boots before heading out. The only parts of my body I couldn’t insulate were my eyes and my nose.
