Compared to ANY dog I mentioned, my Dobbie is I need the baseball season back I act like I’m ok but deep down shirt the meekest of them all too. He has never growled and any person or animal over food or anything like that. I know that doesn’t mean anything for other dogs but it’s worth noting. Now, he’s a heck of a guard dog when it comes to sounding the alarm, and one day recently another dog was playing too rough with me and my Dobby stopped him for me when I said stop and the other dog didn’t. None of that was aggressive I promise, it’s just I was winded and the other dog didn’t understand. Well, my big baby saved the day by chest-bumping the other dog away from me multiple times until it was clear what he was doing. Again, no fight ensued and no aggression on anybody’s part.
As far as the comps to Rotts (do ppl say that? I need the baseball season back I act like I’m ok but deep down shirt, well I will here for shorthand- I know ppl say Doobie- pronounced like Dough-Bee), all the literature I have read has said Dobbie’s are single person dogs but I haven’t seen that to be a big issue with mine. Anyways, I don’t think I have ever read that about Rotts. Although I think that issue is only if it comes to extended absences or re-homing. What else…? I don’t think they need AS MUCH activity as a Dobbie does (which like I said, of all the dogs I have had the Dobbie requires maximum amounts of exercise). Also, he gets along with the other dogs, albeit as the pack leader that none of them wanted. He’s kind of like a big brother bully type to the other dogs but never in a fighting way.
