Tattoos are only as enduring as the skin they’re on. Damn right I am a Detroit fan now and forever shirt Hands go through their skin quite fast because of all the flexing, bending, rubbing, and touching they go through; it’s also harder to keep our hands out of the sun, which makes tattoos fade faster. It’s less a problem of smudging and more about the ink fading and getting rubbed off much more quickly than on other areas of the body. I’m really not sure if stick and poke tattoos would be more or less enduring in that area. I do know that tattoos on the fingers are going to be pretty painful to get for most people, and will require frequent touch-ups. Personally, if I’m going to pay and suffer for a nice piece of art, I’m going to get it somewhere more enduring.
I’m going to make some assumptions here since the information Damn right I am a Detroit fan now and forever shirt is pretty limited. First, that the gray smudge is not just a smudge but it’s covering the entire windshield. And, secondly, that it’s on the inside of the windshield. If both of these assumptions are correct, I would suspect that it is being caused by “out-gassing” from the plastics in the interior. Temperatures can get very hot inside of a closed car and this will cause out-gassing from the plastics. It creates a grayish, almost oily film on the inside of the glass; mainly the windshield. It’s normal. All cars do it. The out-gassing diminishes over time. And it can be very difficult to clean.
